Object of Desire: Tudor Black Bay 36

By Lynette Kee

Two-tone watches are shaping up to be one of the biggest horological trends of 2019. For Tudor, it is only natural to extend their Black Bay collection with more steel and gold (S&G for short) options. Instead of the typical polished surface for gold found in most watches, Tudor gave its best-selling line of vintage-inspired dive watches a more subdued, elegant look with gold highlights and a brushed finish. Among its bi-colour collection is the new Black Bay 36 S&G in reduced proportions. When compared to the rest of the watches in the family, it acts as an introduction piece to the Black Bay aesthetic and a more fashionable option that makes a compelling case for the modern woman who wants a watch with street cred.

Tudor Black Bay 36 in steel and gold, $5,544.
